FARIDABAD,JANTANTRA TODAY\/ <\/strong>In collaboration with, Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti, and Punjab and Sind Bank, National Service Scheme (NSS), K.R. Mangalam University organized an orientation program under the theme \u2018Empower the Future: Role of Youth in Nation Building and Development\u2019 on 23rd September 2024 at K R Mangalam University on the occasion of NSS day. This event was held in hybrid mode with the support of Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti and Punjab and Sind Bank, allowing both on-campus and online participants to engage in meaningful discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, Meeta Rajivlochan, Secretary (Youth Affairs), Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, sent a message to encourage the students and organizing team, stating that India has the largest youth population, and the country has great expectations from the youth. The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a youth group. She urged all NSS members to recognize their potential and build a new India through creative efforts. She emphasized the need for youth to engage with society, become a means to solve social problems, and serve as ideal citizens. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This effort will be a testament to the success of the objectives of NSS. Meeta Rajivlochan requested Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti to connect the university’s NSS unit with legal awareness campaigns and share their experience to benefit the NSS members. She also extended her heartfelt congratulations to NSS, K.R. Mangalam University for organizing a grand event on NSS Day.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raghuvir Singh, Judge and Secretary of DLSA, Gurgaon, Ramesh Chander, Bureau Chief of Motherland Voice Daily, Vijay Gaur, Chairperson of Bhagidari\u00a0 Jan Sahyog Samiti, State NSS Officer of Haryana, Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Deputy General Manager of Punjab and Sind Bank, A.N. Singh, renowned cyber law expert, Dr. Rakshit Tandon, and famous poet and Director of Jays Foundation, Ms. Nazreen Ansari \u2018Rafi\u2019 addressed the participants. During the program, NSS students showcased their talents through cultural performances, further enhancing the lively atmosphere. Students delivered wonderful performances in dance, singing, and poetry, which were both inspiring and entertaining for all. The dance performance depicted the diversity and festive spirit of Indian culture, while the singing captured the audience’s hearts with songs based on patriotism and social awareness. During the poetry recitations, students presented poems focusing on social issues and the importance of nation-building, with many poems emphasizing the duties of the youth and their contributions to society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These cultural performances not only highlighted the artistic abilities of the students but also strongly conveyed the message of nation-building and social responsibility. The program concluded with the awarding of NSS volunteers for their special efforts in various social outreach programs. These awards symbolized their dedication and commitment to different social initiatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The honored volunteers had participated in activities such as blood donation drives, women empowerment workshops, and environmental campaigns, reflecting the core values of NSS. The Vice-Chancellor and other distinguished guests personally handed over the awards to the volunteers, encouraging them to continue their efforts in social service. This recognition not only inspired the awardees but also motivated other students to actively contribute to the community through the NSS platform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event ended on a high note, with all participants feeling inspired and motivated to work towards nation-building and social welfare. All guest speakers praised the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Raghuwir Singh and the organizing skills of the university’s NSS Program Coordinator, Dr. Neeraj Kumari. The event’s grandeur was further enhanced by the presence of distinguished guests and dignitaries, including Registrar Dr. Rahul Sharma, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Shikha Dutta Sharma, and Associate Dean of SOLS, Dr. Inderpreet Kaur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
